WorkSource Cobb to Offer Free Workshops for Entrepreneurs Beginning Wednesday, January 17

MARIETTA – Beginning Wednesday, January 17, 2018 WorkSource Cobb will host a free monthly workshop series for entrepreneurs. Registration is required. To register call 770-528-4300 or send an email to with your name, address, phone number and the name of the workshop you would like to attend. Workshops will be held at CobbWorks Workforce Development Center located at 463 Commerce Park Drive, Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30060. Workshops will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm and are presented by the Edge Connection at Kennesaw State University.

January 17 – Explore, Start & Grow Your Business

Want to learn how to develop your own business canvas? During this workshop you will have an opportunity to discuss your business idea, participate in an interactive business development segment and learn how The EDGE can assist you in making your dream a reality.  The workshop is presented by Cesily Boggs.

February 28 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Have your thought about starting your own business? Then this is the workshop for you!

During this workshop you will explore the various aspects of entrepreneurship. This is a discovery course to help you understand how to turn your idea into a valuable business. The workshop is presented by Steven Yates, Business Consultant.

March 21 – Take the Fear Out of Finance

Developing a business? Need funding or want to approach investors? We will provide you with the essential steps to run a financially stable business. Come learn: how to manage your personal debt, how to improve your credit score, business structure, basic accounting structure and much more. The workshop is presented by Dianne Lyle, EDGE Financial Manager.

April 18 – Social Media 101

Social media plays a vital role in establishing a very strong business in today’s market place. The Edge Connection’s “Go Viral” class helps clients establish a social media initiative to ensure their competitiveness by taking full advantage of all the benefits social media has to offer. This course is a basic introduction to the world of social media.
