Fairground Street Improvements B - Streetscapes From Haley Street to Gene Atkins Alley
This project consists of improving Fairground Street between Haley Street on the south end and Roswell Street on the north end and providing continuity with the Fairground Streetscape projects from the 2005 SPLOST. These improvements include repaving the existing roadway, installing new 6' sidewalks on both sides of the road, pedestrian lighting, and landscaping. Engineering to begin early 2014.

Fairground Street Improvements C - Streetscapes From Roswell Street to Rigby Street
This project consists of improving Fairground Street between Roswell Street on the south end and Rigby Street on the north end and providing continuity with the Fairground Streetscape projects from the 2005 SPLOST.
These improvements include widening the roadway to four 11 foot lanes and an 18 foot landscaped median, installing new 6 foot sidewalks on both sides of the road, pedestrian lighting, and landscaping. This project will also include improving the intersection configurations at Lawrence Street and Washington Avenue.
This project is currently under construction and expected to be complete by 2017.

Fire Engine
Purchase of a new fire engine for the Marietta Fire Department. Fire engine has been ordered and should be delivered 2013.
Franklin Road Improvements A (Twin Brooks Drive to Las Colinas Apartments)
In 2010, the Atlanta Regional Commission approved Livable Center Initiative (LCI) funding for the City of Marietta's Franklin Road Improvement project from Twin Brooks Drive to Las Colinas Apartments. This project will connect to the streetscape project from South Marietta Parkway to Twin Brooks Drive, which is already complete.
The concept for this LCI project proposes to add a raised landscaped median and left turn lanes. New sidewalk is proposed along the west side of the road and a multi-use trail is proposed along the east side. Landscaping and street / pedestrian lighting is proposed along the project. A new pedestrian signal is proposed at the intersection with Brandon Circle, This project will begin construction Fall 2016.

Gateways
The Gateway projects will provide landscaping, hardscaping, and pocket parks on major routes at locations that serve as an entrance or gateway to the City of Marietta. One project just completed is the Church Street Tree Project that will install landscaping along Church Street.

General Streets & Drainage
General funding used for street and drainage projects throughout the City. One larger maintenance project just completed is the Delk Industrial Drive drainage project that replaced failing double 48" corrugated metal pipe along Delk Industrial Drive.
