MARIETTA – The City of Marietta is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, August 14, 2017, the City will deploy a new web based site plan review and permit application process.
The new online application will help to modernize the plan review and permit application process, by no longer requiring the applicant to visit multiple City departments for plan approvals. Citizens and Contractor’s will no longer be required to visit Marietta City Hall to submit applications and plans as they will now be able to submit these documents in a digital format through the City’s official website. The website is now available at http://www.mariettaga.gov/1152/5044/Sages for citizens to go online and enroll and register with the new web based site plan review and permit application process and beginning Monday, August 14, citizens will be able to submit their documents.
“We are very much looking forward to the new online plan review and permit application process going live on our website on Monday, August 14, 2017,” said City Manager Bill Bruton. “Our staff has worked hard to make the process by which citizens and developers interact with the City more efficient and user friendly. This online permitting process will be a huge timesaver for our customers, and is one of the many ways that the City of Marietta is leading the region in the use of technology.”
The new web based site plan review and permit application will require Citizens and Contractor’s to create a secure online account in order to submit the plans and allow them to communicate with staff through the application by receiving notifications throughout the plan review process.
Beginning August 14, 2017, all plans will be reviewed and marked-up electronically thus no longer requiring the applicant to visit city hall multiple times during the online review process. Payments for Site Plans and Building permits will be available immediately. Payments for other permit types will be available in the late fall of 2017.
