MARIETTA - The Marietta Museum of History will be hosting its monthly Pop-In for Pop Culture with an exciting Space & Aviation theme! This event will take place Tuesday, August 8th from 10:30am to 8pm.
During the summer, we will be changing up our Pop-In routine by making this an all-day STEAM based event. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) is an educational phenomenon with the goal to excite young people about various sciences. Coming from the idea of a STEM education, the “A” in STEAM brings art into play. Art allows the creator to explore innovative ways to make their technology more user-friendly, seamless, and appealing. Without the artistic process, our strides in technology would be much less progressive.
Admission to the Museum will be $5 per adult with students 18 years and younger FREE!
The Museum uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County and is the top-rated Museum and one of the Top Five things to do in Marietta on TripAdvisor. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology, and local businesses from our past. Current temporary exhibits include: Shoppin’ Southern Style: Fashions from the mid-20th century and More than Planes: Aviation in Cobb County.
