MARIETTA — The Marietta Museum of History’s Registrar, Christa McCay, will continue her walking tours through the Marietta City Cemetery this October. The tours provide a chance to learn more about Marietta’s constant residents through different themes. This month’s themes: A 19th Century Murder; Triumph & Tragedy; and Strange Tales.
The Marietta City Cemetery has a host of tales to tell and these guided walking tours are the best way to experience them. The tours begin at the brick pavilion between the Confederate and City Cemeteries. Proceeds from the tours benefit the Marietta Museum of History.
When: Saturday, October 7th; Saturday, October 21st; Saturday, October 28th, 2017 (Due to inclement weather, the Oct. 28 tour is postponed to Nov. 4th, please call the museum if you have already purchased tickets for the 28th.)
Time: Tours are conducted at 10:30am and 2pm
Where: Marietta City Cemetery, 395 Powder Springs St. Marietta, GA 30064
Cost: $15 per ticket. Tours are limited to 20 people each. Tickets can be purchased at www.touchstonestothepast.eventbrite.com
