As children we look to our PARENTS and ELDERS for advice and care. As our parents age, it becomes OUR responsibility to make sure they are taken care of.
Do YOU know what warning signs of Elder Abuse look like??
The Marietta Police Department is a proud member of the Cobb County / North Georgia Elder Abuse Take Force. We want to make sure you know what to look for, and what to do if you suspect an Elder Person (anyone 65 years of age or older) or an At - Risk Adult (anyone 18 years of age or older who is mentally or physically incapacitated or has Alzheimer’s disease or dementia) may be a victim of abuse.
ANYONE can make a report of Abuse, Neglect or Exploitation. Please click the links below that detail types of abuse to watch for, and advice on who to contact for help.
NOTE: We give blanket permission for anyone to copy of reproduce this Elder Abuse information with their own logo.
