MARIETTA – Beginning November 1, 2017, families again can book their visits online to see Santa on the Marietta Square with appointments starting on Friday, December 1, 2017.
As in years past, the City of Marietta’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The fun begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 30th with performances by local school choruses. Santa makes his grand entrance via a City of Marietta firetruck at 5:20pm followed by the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree at 6pm. Important information – Santa must leave the Square promptly 8pm that evening to make his way back to the North Pole!
Starting December 1, 2017, the Santa Experience is brought to you by the Marietta Square Branding Project. Through their website, you can book appointments with “The Classic Santa” or with “Santa.” While both Santas are the real deal, “Classic Santa” is the jolly fellow who has been on the Marietta Square for almost 20 years! “Santa” is the jolly fellow who may interact on a personal level with your children if you provide some details in the booking process. This “Santa” is also lovingly known as Santa Paws!
