Tickets are on sale now for this production that perennially enchants audiences and inspires holiday spirit among all who attend.

Do you believe in magic? Come get swept away in the joy of the holidays with GA Metro Dance Theatre's enchanting rendition of the beloved story ballet, The Nutcracker. With four performances over Thanksgiving weekend, this holiday classic promises to delight audiences of all ages.

GMDT’s The Nutcracker is a classical ballet featuring 150 local company dancers, ranging in age from seven to eighteen, who train at Georgia Dance Conservatory on the Marietta Square. Professional dancers Raul Peinado and D. Patton White will join the cast of GMDT dancers to bring to life the story of a little girl named Clara who dreams of meeting her prince and going on an enchanted journey through the Kingdom of Sweets. Our 2017 performance of The Nutcracker will feature new choreography in Act II, including Chinese, Spanish, Polichinelles, Arabian, and Candy Canes.

GMDT’s The Nutcracker will feature GMDT Seniors from the class of 2017:

•             Snow Queen: Sydney Carlin

•             Sugarplum Fairy/Snowflake: Anna Cole

•             Dew Drop/Shepherdess/Snowflake: Kayli Sweeney
