MARIETTA - Created in 2006, the 90 Mile Dixie Highway Yard Sale, celebrates historic communities along Georgia’s Dixie Highway. This annual event is held on the first full weekend of June. Starting in Ringgold, GA and ending in Marietta, GA there will be 90 miles of everything from antiques, souvenirs and knick-knacks, classic attractions, food, events and more.
Marietta’s premier Dixie Highway Yard Sale location will at the Marietta Museum of History, which is located just off the Historic Marietta Square. The doors of the Museum will be open Friday, June 1st and Saturday, June 2nd to sell books, household items, military memorabilia, furniture and more. There will even be tips and suggestions on how to repurpose items with ideas from Pinterest and crafters! Doors open Friday at 10am and will remain open until 9pm. We will have shorter hours on Saturday starting at 10am and running until 4pm. Everything is priced to sell, and the Museum loves to play “Let’s make a Deal!”
Included in this year’s sale are items, removed from the collection because they do not fulfill our mission. All proceeds from the sale benefits the direct care of the Museum’s permanent collection.
