MARIETTA – Scholastic is presenting a popup reading festival from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 20 at the Switzer Library outdoor plaza in downtown Marietta, 266 Roswell St., Marietta 30060.
The free 2018 Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip event for families with children will feature award-winning authors, games, crafts and costume characters Clifford the Big Red Dog, Geronimo Stilton and Dog Man along with Dewey, the library’s mascot.
Authors at the summertime festival for book signings will include:
Julie Falatko, author of books on Snappsy the Alligator and Two Dogs in a Trench Coat Go to School, Book 1
Author/illustrator Jonathan Fenske (Woodward and McTwee, Love Is in the Air; I’m Fun, Too!) with his first picture book, Barnacle is Bored.
Sandra Markle, author of more than 200 nonfiction books for children, including books on science like What If You Had Animal Eyes and What If You Had Animal Feet.
