MARIETTA –The City of Marietta is saddened to announce that former Marietta Councilwoman Annette Lewis passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018.
Councilwoman Lewis served on the Marietta City Council from January 2006 to December 2013 and served on the Marietta City School Board from January 1994 until December 2005.
“Annette was an extraordinary public servant because of her service to the Marietta Community through her many years on the Marietta School Board and City Council,” said Mayor Steve Tumlin. “She loved her neighborhood and City and engaged with others to make Marietta a better place.”
The City of Marietta would like to thank Councilwoman Lewis and her family for her public service to our City. We always will remember her kindness and generosity and will always see her footprint in our City in the projects, developments, and opportunities she helped see through to completion in Marietta.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, July 13 from 4 - 8 pm at 302 Frasier St., Marietta, 30060. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Annette Paige Lewis to one of the following organizations:
