MARIETTA - The City of Marietta and the Marietta Museum of History is pleased to announce that the 27th Annual Marietta StreetFest will be held on September 15-16, 2018 on the Marietta Square. Established in 1992, the Marietta StreetFest is an annual fundraiser for the Marietta Museum of History. Located just west of the square in the historic Kennesaw House, the Marietta Museum of History houses the largest collection of artifacts relating to Marietta and Cobb County’s history.

The 27th Annual Marietta StreetFest focuses on the family with many free activities including more than 75 arts & crafts booths, the Hubcaps and History Classic Car Show, a kid-friendly activity zone and Tiny Tot Town and the Marietta Grassroots Music Festival. Marietta StreetFest takes place Saturday, Sept. 15 – Sunday, Sept. 16 in the Marietta Square.

THE ARTS

Within Artist Alley and Jewelry Row, Marietta StreetFest features arts and crafts from more than 75 vendors. From handcrafted items such as paintings, jewelry and pottery to market items such as jellies, jams and sauces, visitors will discover one-of-a-kind items throughout the festival from local, as well as national artists.

KIDS

Since becoming a two-day event, Marietta StreetFest has expanded the offerings for younger festival attendees. Kids Korner kicks off on Saturday with kid-friendly entertainment and a plethora of inflatables and free interactive art stations and games. For toddlers, Tiny Tot Town features pint-size toys, a mini inflatable slide and cardboard houses. A small fee applies to some activities.

VINTAGE CARS

The 14th Annual Hubcaps and History Classic Car Show, which features a wide variety of interesting and amazing classic cars, will be held on Saturday only and weather permitting. Multiple awards will be given along with one award for People’s Choice. The winners will be announced at the festival on Saturday at 3 p.m.

MUSIC

StreetFest attendees can grab their blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets and support local musicians. Organized by the Marietta Grassroots Music Festival, musical performances at Marietta StreetFest feature original music in a variety of genres by bands and singer/songwriters throughout the metro Atlanta area.   www.grassrootsfest.com
