MARIETTA – The Marietta Fire Department is pleased to announce that for the first time ever the Marietta Fire Museum will participate in the Annual Marietta Pilgrimage on December 1 and 2, 2018. The recently remodeled Marietta Fire Museum is open to the public year-round at no charge and boasts a collection of antique fire apparatus, tools, and gear dating back to 1854.
As all true Mariettans know, the Marietta Fire Museum has always had an edge on Christmas cheer. Who other than a select group of Marietta firefighters are qualified to bring both Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Marietta Square for the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree? Each year our fire department brings the Clauses to the Square via an antique fire truck so that Santa can oversee the tree lighting and meet with children that very same night!
Make sure you stop by the Marietta Fire Museum located at 112 Haynes Street, Marietta, GA 30060 on Saturday, December 1 from 9am-5pm and Sunday, December 2 from 11am-5pm to view both the historic collection and the Christmas decorations. Remember all visits to the Marietta Fire Museum are FREE!
