MARIETTA - The City of Marietta will offer free Christmas tree pick up service to residents beginning the week of January 4th.
To utilize this service, residents must have the tree on the curbside by 7am. It must be free of all decorations. Beginning Monday, January 4th, the Streets Division will randomly pick up Christmas trees on a daily basis for two weeks.
Beginning Wednesday, January 6th, the Sanitation Division will be back on its regular schedule for yard waste pickup which does include Christmas trees. There will be no drop off point for residents to bring their own trees. All trees must be free of decorations, lights, stands, tinsel and nails. Any live tree with such things on it will be picked up as garbage on the next pick up day. No mulch will be available for residents.
