MARIETTA – The City of Marietta will begin its 2021 Glover Park Concert Series on Friday, May 28th at 8:00pm on the Marietta Square. The concerts are free, but a limited number of tables can be reserved for a fee.
Table reservations are taken on a first come basis on the first working day of each month beginning at 8:00 am. Table reservations for the August 28th concert will open on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Bring a picnic or dine in one of the many fine restaurants located on the square.
The concert lineup:
May 28 - Grapevine Band (Variety Party Band)
June 25 - Kasper & 911 Band (Motown/R&B)
July 30 - Next Level Band (Beach/Oldies)
August 27 - Glow Band (Classic Pop)
August 28 - Paradocs (Country/Rock) ***POSTPONED
September 24 - The Big Chicken Beatle Band (Hits of the Beatles)

Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up in the park and tables are permitted in the street after 6:00 p.m. No personal tables, plastic ground covering or ropes, tape, stakes, etc. used to section off areas are permitted inside the park as they will be removed.
Join your fellow concert guests each month and participate in the “Spirited Award & Table Decorating Contest” presented by Linda Eroh, REALTOR®. Judging will take place prior to each concert from 7:15 - 7:45 p.m. and the grand prize winner will be announced during the opening remarks. There can be multiple winners, and each will receive great prizes that will include a coupon from the Glover Park Brewery. The judges will wonder through the area looking for those groups with outstanding displays, unique style, most spirited, creative costumes, and best theme of the evening entertainment. Winners can include groups celebrating graduations, birthdays, and holiday themes. There is no cost to participate and registration is not necessary.
Ted Azriel is the featured artist for the 2021 Glover Park Concert Series poster and lives in Marietta with his family. After retiring as a graphic designer in 2016, he devoted his energy and passion for fine art and Digital Art. He studied at Pratt Graphic Art Center and Art Students League in New York, and Ecole Des Beaux Art in Montreal, Canada. Ted believes, “The world is his palette, he creates in many styles using traditional and digital mixed media and encompasses many venues and comes from my imagination, life experiences and interaction with people and the world at large”. His art is part of a permanent display in the 500 year old Fortezza in Montepulciano, Italy and can be found locally at North Park Gallery on the Marietta Square.
