The Marietta Police Department’s Training Unit will host a Firearm Safety Seminar on Wednesday, March 22th at 6:30pm. This seminar is designed for civilians and will cover a variety of topics to include safety, laws, and alternative weapon usage. The seminar is free of charge.
“This program has been developed to educate the citizens on current firearm laws and weapon safety. We want to equip citizens with the knowledge and skills so they feel confident owning and handling a firearm or weapon if they choose to do so” says Lieutenant Jake King of the Marietta Police Departmental Instructor.
The Firearm Safety Seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 22th,2017, at the Marietta City Council Chambers. In order to secure a seat in this seminar please rsvp at https://mpdfirearmsafetyseminar.eventbrite.com. The seminar will begin at 6:30 p.m. The following topics will be covered:
This seminar is lecture based only and citizens are not required to bring anything. Information packets will be provided to attendees. The seminar is open to all ages and is approximately two hours in length. Please do not bring any firearms or weapons to the seminar.
