The Marietta Museum of History is pleased to continue its Pop-In for Pop Culture series on Tuesday, April 11th from 4pm to 8pm. This month we will be doing some “Locomotion”. We will explore more than just trains, but anything with movement including airplanes, hula hoops and fun music to get your body moving.
Pop-In for Pop Culture is a yearlong program, created by the Museum to allow visitors to explore the Museum in a whole new way! Every 2nd Tuesday evening from 4pm to 8pm, the galleries will “Pop Open” for a night of Pop Culture from the 1950s and 60s. Enjoy reminiscing about the music, food, games and so much more. Admission to the Museum will be $5 per person for the night and FREE to Museum members. Memberships will be available for purchase and start at $40.
Don’t forget to join us at the Marietta Wine Market from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday evening (4.12.17) as we celebrate the 155th anniversary of the Great Locomotive Chase. Door prizes will be given out during the wine tasting. This is a fundraiser for the Museum, so we hope to see you there!
The Museum uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County and is the top-rated Museum and one of the Top Five things to do in Marietta on TripAdvisor. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology and local businesses from our past. Current temporary exhibits include: Shoppin’ Southern Style: Fashions from the mid-20th century.
