MARIETTA – Mayor Steve Tumlin is pleased to host a Pep Rally for the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, October 13 at 5:30 pm in Glover Park on the Marietta Square.
Braves fans everywhere are thrilled the team clinched their fifth straight National League East Division championship on Tuesday, October 4. Now it is our turn to help push the Braves to the National League Championship and then take another World Series title! And here is where the fun starts. In the week leading up to the Pep Rally, Mayor Tumlin wants to see Marietta’s Braves spirit.
Mayor Tumlin wants to see your homes, cars, businesses, and families decked out in your best Braves gear! Awards will be given at the Pep Rally for the “Biggest Fan” in each of the four categories. All you must do is visit our website to submit a photo of your home, business, car, or family (obviously pets are included!) dressed up in Braves gear – the winning entries will be announced at the Pep Rally on October 13.
All city residents or business owners are eligible to submit an entry. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, October 11 at 11:59 pm.
