Evening with History: Featuring Amy Albers

MARIETTA - The Marietta History Center (MHC) is thrilled to announce the kickoff event for its Fall programming schedule with an evening lecture featuring Amy Albers, Georgia Room Library Assistant. The event will take place on Monday, September 16th, 2024, at 6pm at the MHC.

Ms. Albers will be presenting a captivating talk on "The Secrets and Scandals of Colonial Georgia." This lecture promises to offer intriguing insights into the lesser-known aspects of Georgia's colonial history, shedding light on the secrets and scandals that shaped the region. Ms. Albers will be available for questions after her presentation. 

Ms. Albers holds an MLIS from Valdosta State University. She is a Marietta resident and her work in the Georgia Room consists of assisting patrons with genealogy and history research. She also works as a freelance writer discussing topics such as travel, parenting, and books. 

The Marietta History Center recommends purchasing your tickets in advance through our website. Refunds will only be issued if the MHC cancels the event.

At the Marietta History Center our mission is to ignite curiosity in Marietta’s history by connecting people through compelling stories and engaging experiences.
