MARIETTA, GA - Beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, Marietta Water will begin a water line replacement project in the St. Marys and St. Annes neighborhood area. This project will replace approximately 10,000 feet of 6-inch and 8-inch water mains to improve system reliability and support the continued delivery of high-quality water service to customers.
Construction will take place along Chowning Place, N St. Marys Lane, St. Johns Court, St. Teresa Terrace, and St. Annes Road. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
Water service to customers within the project area is expected to continue with limited to no interruption. Any customers affected by a planned service outage required to accommodate the work will be notified individually in advance through door hangers.
Most of the work will occur within the public right of way, primarily in the shoulder of the roadway outside of the pavement. Construction will progress in rolling phases by street and will take place during daytime hours. If any landscaping disturbances occur during construction, affected areas will be restored to preconstruction conditions. Final street pavement restoration will take place at the end of the project.
Residents can expect lane closures in areas where active work is underway, with access to driveways and mailboxes remaining open. This project is being completed by K.M. Davis Contracting.
