MARIETTA, GA - Marietta Tree Keepers is calling on volunteers of all ages to join its December Scavenger Hunt - Tree Planting Event, an exciting opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying the outdoors. This engaging event will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, starting at 8:30 AM.
Participants will meet at the City of Marietta Maintenance Building near Lewis Park, located at 434 Sessions Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060. The event is free and open to the public, offering a family-friendly activity for all ages.
Event Details:
- 8:30 AM - Sign-in and refreshments (hot coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts provided).
- 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM - Volunteer tree planting, organized as a fun scavenger hunt with clues to locate tree planting sites.
What to Expect:
Volunteers are encouraged to dress for outdoor weather and bring friends or family to share in the rewarding experience of community reforestation. Tools, gloves, and guidance will be provided by Marietta Tree Keepers.

Members of the Marietta Tree Keepers have been promoting the value of trees to the community since it was founded in 2002. MTK has over 100 members and has planted over 5,500 trees around the city. The 501(C)3 non-profit organization works closely with the City of Marietta to plant trees along public right-of-ways, parks and schools.
