MARIETTA, GA - The City of Marietta is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Let Freedom Ring Parade Grand Marshal. The beloved annual parade will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and the City is calling on the community to help select an outstanding individual to lead the celebration.
The Grand Marshal serves as a symbol of community pride and spirit. Nominees should embody the values and contributions that make Marietta a great place to live, work, and celebrate.
Nominees should meet the following criteria:
- Have made a significant impact on the quality of life in Marietta through civic service, social work, humanitarian efforts, or personal accomplishments in fields such as the arts or athletics.
- Be a current resident, long-time past resident, or someone who has brought honor or recognition to Marietta.
- Be willing and available to serve as Grand Marshal on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Individuals previously nominated but not selected may be nominated again.

Submit your nominee’s name, contact information, and a brief biography via email to Maggi Moss at mmoss@mariettaga.gov with the subject line: Nomination for the 2025 Let Freedom Ring Parade Grand Marshal.
