One of the steps in the application process for the position of Firefighter/AEMT with the City of Marietta is the written examination. The City of Marietta now uses the Accuplacer next generation reading, next generation writing, and next generation arithmetic for the written test. Tip for Success: Come Prepared
- Be early; no one will be admitted after test instructions have begun. There will be no exceptions.
- You must show a picture ID when you check in.
Important Notes
The City of Marietta Human Resources Department will confirm your selected test date and test session.
Applicants must take the test on his or her selected date and time unless military service prevents you from making your appointed time. We may require you to produce your orders as proof of the conflict. Be advised that applicants are not guaranteed an appointment change.

The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants with the final results via email.
