Medical Training

The State of Georgia and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians set requirements for the certification and re-certification of Georgia's Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.

Each two year license cycle, a licensee will need to complete a total of 40 hours of State or CAPCE approved EMS continuing education credits which include:

  • 8 hours of Pediatric topics
  • 4 hours of Cardiovascular topics (Stemi and Stroke)
  • 4 hours of Trauma topics
  • 24 hours of General EMS topics (except CPR and ACLS topics)

Marietta provides EMT and Advanced EMT training for its new personnel. We also meet all state requirements for Advanced EMT and Paramedic re-certifications. This training includes CPR, approved continuing education, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
