HarvestFest

Marietta's HarvestFest is an annual festival held each October. The festival includes the HarvestFest Arts & Crafts Show, Pie Eating Contest, Touch-A-Truck, Scarecrows In The Square, Big Chicken Cornerback's Coop, Costume Contest and Halloween Happenings kid’s festival. The festival is sure to please the whole family!

 Come join the "Coop" during this year's HarvestFest events! The City of Marietta and Magnolia Golf Displays have joined to bring local College Football to the streets of the Marietta Square! Bring your chairs, and food and drinks from one of our local merchants and be a part of our version of a watch party!

The annual Scarecrows In The Square competition will be on display throughout the park during the festival. Take part in bringing your school, club, business or non-profit's scarecrow to Glover Park at Historic Marietta Square! Awards will be given to Best In Show and 1st Place in each category: School/Club, Business and Non-Profit Organization. Scarecrow participants are welcome to participate during HarvestFest Halloween Happenings by hosting kids activities or offer treats at their scarecrow display. Email ezillweger@mariettaga.gov for more information.  Squarecrow registration for 2025 has ended.

HarvestFest Market: Handmade Arts & Crafts - 

The HarvestFest Market draws exhibitors from the southern states, including many local vendors, showcasing and selling their handmade arts & crafts. Online applications will be available on July 7th.  Applications can be downloaded and completed by hand. Exhibitor information and application can be downloaded here.

 Annual Pie Eating Contest 

In the grand tradition of Fall Festivals, this year's event will feature a Pie Eating Contest for ages 6 and up!! Are you the fastest eater in Marietta? The City of Marietta will be partnering with Pie Bar on the Marietta Square to bring you the most fun you will ever have eating dessert!

The event will be held Saturday prior to the Halloween Happenings. Registration is FREE, but participants must be aged 6 or older to participate. Link for Registration. (Registration will open August 29th.)

 *Please consider allergens and dietary restrictions prior to registration.* 


Age Category:
 Mini Munchers (ages 6 to12) at 11:30AM
 Competitive Chompers (13 and up) at 12:00PM


Touch-A-Truck

Festival-goers of all ages will enjoy this portion of the event. Many City of Marietta vehicles will be on display for an up-close experience, such as firetrucks, police cars, tractors, tow trucks, and many more!

Halloween Happenings Kid’s Festival

Calling all kids to come dressed in their favorite costume with a trick-or-treat bag! Halloween Happenings is a kid’s festival for children ages 12 and younger. Carnival games, inflatable houses, candy and other special activities make this a safe and fun fall event.

Costume Contest

*Contestants should arrive to the stage between 9AM and 1:30PM to receive a contestant number. *

Come dressed in your best handmade costume! Contest starts at 2:00PM at the Glover Park Stage with our littlest contestants.

Categories for the contest are:

    •  1 year old and younger
    •  2 to 3 years old 
    • 4 to 6 years old 
    • 7 to 8 years old 
    • 9 to 10 years old 
    • 11 to 12 years old 
    • 13+ 
    • Group *(groups are minimum of 2 contestants and any age)*
  • Prizes will be given out for Overall 12 and Under, Overall 13+, and Overall Group as well and 1st-3rd in each Category.

The pet costume contest at 3:00PM will close out the show with an Overall Grand Prize and 1st thru 3rd place winners.
