July is Parks and Recreation Month Celebration

Each year, people celebrate Parks and Recreation Month in July! The City of Marietta is happy to honor the incredible work our Parks, Recreation, and Facilities department does to build a strong, resilient, diverse, and vibrant Marietta community through parks, programs, and events. The National Recreation and Parks Association promotes this month annually with a different theme relating to the positive impact made by parks professionals. This year the theme is...

NRPA July is Parks and Recreation Month

Parks Professionals Day is Friday, July 21st!!

"As part of Park and Recreation Month, NRPA is celebrating Park and Recreation Professionals Day on Friday, July 21. This is a day to celebrate all the dedicated professionals who build strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation."

On Friday, July 21, help us celebrate our Parks, Recreation, and Facilities staff! Say thank you, take a selfie with, or waive as you pass by our many wonderful parks professionals! And keep an eye on our social medias to see how we are honoring our staff on this day!
